Terms & Conditions

Client Obligations

As the owner you are responsible and will ensure that your dog is up to date with all vaccinations, fleas, ticks and de-worming treatments.

As the owner you accept full liability for any loss or damage caused by your dog whilst in our care. You as the owner are financially responsible for any loss or damage to our property or items within the property whilst your dog is in our home for either day care or boarding. Coast & Country Pets is not held accountable for vet fees or third-party claims whilst your dog is in our care.

As the owner you are required to give full disclosure of any quality or characteristic problems which might make your dog not suitable for walking, pet sitting, day care or home boarding; including behavioural or health problems, antisocial behaviour; including aggression, resource guarding, incontinence or lack of house training, marking in the house, excessive barking or whining, inability to walk without pulling on the lead, recall and jumping up at people. Failure on the part of the owner to disclose any matter which might render owner’s dog unsuitable for walking, pet sitting, day care or home boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of our agreement and we reserve the right to terminate our services with immediate effect. If for any reason we see behaviours which develop over time which we deem unsuitable for walking, pet sitting, day care or boarding we reserve the right to terminate future walks, pet sitting, day care, and / or boarding immediately.

Our Obligations

We will use all reasonable care and skill in providing a good quality service. We will ensure your pet is exercised and mentally stimulated, taking into account their own individual needs and personalities.

We make every effort to contact the owner in the event of an emergency, however we strongly recommend owners provide us with a contact number of a trusted third party should we be unable to make contact. We reserve the right to make decisions regarding your dog’s health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of the dog and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon. Owner is responsible for payment of all veterinary fees incurred by Coast & Country Pets.

Payment & Cancellations

Home boarding bookings require payment in full upon receipt of invoice and services to confirm and secure the booking. All boarding payments are non-refundable upon cancellation.

We are a very busy business and once your spot has been booked it is  for your dog and perhaps one or two others only, this means lots of other enquiries will be turned down. Cancellations may mean we can’t fill those bookings again, resulting in loss of income and disappointment for others. Please be considerate.

Dog walking, pet sitting and day care cancellations still require services to be paid for in full.

Whilst I completely understand that life sometimes gets in the way and there are absolutely genuine reasons for cancelling, I am a small business and each day is meticulously planned, ensuring dogs are paired with the perfect partner, walking in the most ideal location for the individual dog and also for the best amount of time. Each and every one of your dogs is thought about very carefully and their individual needs are met, cancellations not only have a huge financial impact but also are logistically and socially impactful on all the dogs. Thank you for your understanding.

All fees are due upon receipt of invoice, failure to pay in a timely manner will result in the suspension of services until payment has been made.

Termination of Services

We require at least one months’ notice for the cancellation of regular walks, pet sitting and / or daycare services. We, in turn, will also give at least one months’ notice, unless termination is due to behavioral or characteristic issues as outlined under Client Obligations. Upon confirmation of a termination of services, a final invoice will be issued in advance for the last month of services and will be required to be settled in full prior to the next date of care.
